Chief Executive Officer
Jean-Matthieu BISEAU is an HEC graduate. Before taking over as head of RAC France in 2001, he spent the first part of his career with financial institutions specialising in automotive credit.
He began his career with SOVAC, became Director General of CAVIA, created ROMACRÉDIT in Italy and then GEFISERVICE in France with GE Capital (now GE Money Bank). From 1999 to 2001, he was Marketing Manager of Cetelem. He became CEO of RAC France at the end of 2001.
A graduate of Grenoble EM, holding an Executive MBA from the European Business School HEC, Albert ETIENNE has spent his entire career in the automotive sector. He began in 1993 at Renault S.A. and held various positions of business coaching and marketing in the manufacturer’s commercial network (subsidiaries in Marseille and Paris XVI and Regional Manager for the Ile-de-France region). He then worked from 1999 to 2001 with the parts manufacturer ROBERT BOSCH as Regional Manager for eastern France.
He joined RAC France in 2001 as Commercial & Marketing Manager. In 2016, he was appointed Deputy CEO in charge of Opteven’s development in the French market.
With a background in law and a graduate of the Lyon Institute of Insurance (IAL), Philippe BENANT had spent his entire career in the financial services sector (insurance) before joining RAC France. He began his career with the Technical Management of the GAN Group and then joined the world of consultancy, where he specialised in organisation and restructuring projects.
From 2000 to 2008, he was Director of ORGA Consultants, a consulting firm in strategy and management. In May 2008, he joined the management of RAC France as Operations Manager.
Holding a Master’s degree in banking and finance and a British Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Bernard ROUSSEAU has spent most of his career abroad. After working as an analyst at the Compagnie Générale des Eaux Group in London, he joined the HERTZ LEASE automotive leasing group in 1998 (acquired by ALD Automotive in 2003). In 1999, he became Financial Director of ALD Automotive in Denmark (Société Générale Group) and at the same time held the same position at ALD Automotive Sweden from 2000.
He joined RAC France in 2005 as Chief Administrative and Financial Officer. In 2016, he was appointed Deputy CEO and has now assumed the responsibility of the Finance sector of the Group.
Chief Information Officer
A graduate from the prestigious Ecole Centrale in Lyon with a degree in engineering, Bernard TAHAY held several IT management positions in services and industry before taking over as IT Officer at RAC France in 2001. He began his career with the service provider ELIPSE before becoming IT Manager for the city of Châteauroux. In 1997, he became IT and Networks Manager at TRÉFILEUROPE (the Usinor group).
In October 2001, he became Chief IT Officer at RAC France.
Manager of Human Resources, qualityand internal communication
An EDHEC business school graduate, Caroline Oddos began her career in financial positions with PRICEWATERHOUSE COOPERS and then with the LA MONDIALE Group.
Her career took a different direction when she was named training manager for the LA MONDIALE Group. Human resources became her field of action and she joined KEOLIS to take over HR management for the different divisions of the group. She joined Opteven in 2015.
